| Yarn Processing - Includes
tumbling, washing, picking, carding, spinning, drafting,
steaming, skein winding and washing skeins. Fiber must be greater than 2 inches in length and less than 6 inches. Yarn processing is available in 5 weights. Lace, fingering. sport, worsted and bulky. We normally run all 2 ply except bulky weight. Bulky is run as a 3 ply. 3 ply is available upon request for sport and worsted weight also. 3-ply sport is charged at the lace weight price. We define the 4 different processing weights in wraps per inch:
Prewashed fiber must be thoroughly clean and rinsed. We reserve the right to rewash fiber. Prewashed fiber will be charged $2.00 less a pound. Minimum lot size is 10 lbs for one yarn run (one size). The skeins are washed after processing to remove
conditioners, dirt and oils that accumulate during
processing. Washed yarn on a cone is available to an
additional $2.40 lb. |
